A Surprise For You!

I hope you enjoyed the story in my last post!

It may interest you to know that I worked hard on that one.  Since I have to type letter by letter by gazing at each letter to form words, it’s quite painstaking.

In a post of this size it took me from Friday until the following Wednesday to finish it!

But I feel that it was very worth the effort! And I hope you agree!

Still, there is something lacking when a story is in print.  A lot more emotion and positive vibes can be communicated when a story is told verbally.

In that spirit I present to you a story I told to my 6th grade class on the last day of school in 2007.

My gratitude goes out to my dear student, Raf Sandler, who video-graphed the story.

A Rabbi Simes Story

My daughter in high school found a song that encapsulates the story I told in 2007:

A Person Saved Twice from Tragedy – Song

  1. Dear Rabbi Simes, I love all of your posts, especially the stories – last week’s was AWESOME – tizkeh lemitzvos – I enjoyed this youtube story about the Sabarro bombing as well – yasher ko’ach!!! Sincerely, Sruly Koval Cleveland (I’m a friend of Avraham Dov Vinetsky)

    1. Wow! What a nice comment! A friend of Abe is a friend of mine!

Can’t bring the last story up on our computer as it may have viruses in it. Maybe it can be copied and brought up directly in your column.

    1. Thanks, I’ll look into it!

Thanks for this powerful and meaningful song. Hashem IS with us if only we’d open our hearts and minds.
