I Can Still Do That

I want to play for you my Sheva Brachos speech for a very close friend and student.

Yes,  I can still deliver a speech although I can’t speak!

Thanks to the miracle of  my eye gaze computer,  I was able to pre program my thoughts in advance.  Then all  I had to do was  “press”  one button with my eyes and presto,  My speech was read aloud by my computer!

One introduction that is necessary to understand the speech is the line, “Gee Jenny, thanks a lot”.

About nine years ago, when Jenny was in the first Torah High class (the after public school day accredited Jewish studies program).  We had invited her and a few friends for Shabbos.

In discussion with the girls about their families, Jenny mentioned some antics of her eight year old sister.  When her dad and her young sister came to pick Jenny up on Saturday night,  we ribbed her sister about her antics.

To which the sister replied as she glared at Jenny, “Gee Jenny, thanks a lot”.

She was so cute when she blurted this out that this comment became a mantra every time we subsequently invited Jenny over.  For example, when Jenny would pass the salt we would all chorus, “Gee Jenny, thanks a lot”.

“Gee Jenny, thanks a lot”, could be heard about ten times when she visited!

Now you are ready to hear my speech.

Enjoy!
